How to View a SARS PDF File

SARS uses a special secure PDF format called PDFXFA. Most standard PDF readers — including Chrome and Edge — cannot open these files correctly. This guide shows you how to convert a SARS PDF into a standard file you can open anywhere.

Why can't I open it directly?

SARS generates documents in PDFXFA (PDF with XML Form Architecture), a format designed for interactive forms. Most modern PDF viewers do not support this format fully and may display a blank or broken file. Converting to a standard PDF resolves this.

Conversion Steps

01

Download the SARS PDF to your device

Save the SARS document to your computer. It will be in PDFXFA format, which most standard PDF readers cannot open correctly.

02

Visit the PDFXFA converter website

Open your browser and navigate to the PDFXFA conversion tool at pdfxfa.com.

03

Click the file selection box

On the PDFXFA website, click the file selection area to open your device's file browser.

04

Select your SARS PDF file

Browse to where you saved the SARS PDF file and select it to upload it to the converter.

05

Click "Convert to normal PDF"

Click the "Convert to normal PDF" button. The tool will process your file and convert it from PDFXFA format to a standard PDF.

06

Download the converted file

Once conversion is complete, download the new standard PDF. You can now open it in any PDF reader, including Adobe Reader, Chrome, or Preview on Mac.
